The Endless Injustice Of Homelessness
Justice is defined as fair and unbiased treatment. Our country’s motto is,” Freedom and justice for all.” But in my eyes I think it should be paraphrased too,” Social banishment and injustice for all.” We’ve had our ups and downs in Jersey City, all though America. It’s been 4 years since we have gotten our since we got our 1st African American president. He goes around saying,” Yes we can!” The fault in that saying is that everybody can’t… Now don’t get me wrong. I am an African American male and I am proud that my race went from slave that was being run by people, too presidents and politicians running the people. But I am blogging about that right now. I am going to make everyone see that there are people! Actual living beings, sleeping, eating, and living outside on the sidewalks that We, “The minority of the economic scale walk on.” You might just think that they’re out there for their own good, but they have no choice because Us the people turned our backs on them in their time of dyer need. Now they’re in a ditch so deep that they cant climb out. And its not just other people in this situation its also the veterans. the people that fought and risked their lives so that we can live peaceful lives. Did you know that the number of homeless war veterans significantly decreased over the years but there is still a long way too go. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) guesses that a number of almost 200000 veterans are homeless and go too sleep outside every night and about 400000 go through homelessness around the year if you want too read more on follow this link at http://www.authorsden.com/categories/article_top.asp?catid=62&id=27946
. This is sad and we can make a effort too these guys that risked their lives for us. I’ve recently read an article on a homeless man named Mike Wood who's been living at the edge of Route 9 located in Howell for the last 7 years. He says that he had no interest in going too a local shelter with the fear of loosing his tent to any other homeless people. So that gives you the idea that their are others in the perimeter. He said that he used to live on a homeless camp that supported him and others until hurricane Irene hit and turn the place into a sanctuary for packs of mice. So this brings me too my resolutions. I suggest that we they people who a world wide group and call it the “Homeless No More” and have a walk or fundraiser too raise enough money too make community for all homeless people and they will be fully taken care until they get themselves together. But I don't think that we the people alone can make this dream a reality we need the help of our president. With his approval and our undying determination we can stop homelessness once and for all. I have high hopes that some good soul will read this and take my idea farther than I ever can. If so contact me at my email at yungfhase@gmail.com thanks for reading.
